Abstract

The number of elderly people in Indonesia is estimated to grow rapidly in 2050. The purpose of this study was to determine The Effect of Otago Exercise Programs On Dynamic Balance of Women in Sungai Abang Community Health Center in 2020. The design of this research was a Quasi Experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The population was 407 elderlies at 60-75 years old. By using accidental sampling, 10 elderly people were chosen as the samples who met inclusion and exclusion criteria. Using Univariate Analysis and Bivariate Analysis with paired sample T-Test. The results showed that after 9 times the intervention was given the mean pre was 12.07 seconds and the mean post was 11.69 seconds with α 0.000. Then, there was an effect of giving the Otago Exercise Program on dynamic balance in the elderly. It can be concluded that Otago Exercise Programme has an effect on dynamic balance in the elderly because the Otago Exercise Program consists of components of muscle strengthening, balance improvement and walking exercises.
